Miley Cyrus Teases New Album Something Beautiful as the ‘Appetizer’ for an ‘Experimental’ Upcoming Project

Miley Cyrus’ new album is just the tip of the iceberg.

Ahead of releasing her new album Something Beautiful later this week, the Grammy-winning pop superstar held an intimate event with TikTok at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles on Tueesday, May 27 where she performed and even teased her next album.

Tish Cyrus, Brandi Cyrus, actress Anya Taylor-Joy and more were in attendance for the event, billed as a Something Beautiful listening party for fans. Once they heard the album, however, Miley appeared for a surprise performance of tracks including “End of the World,” “More to Lose,” “Easy Lover,” “Flowers” and “The Climb.”

According to Billboard, Miley performed alongside a band of drummer (and her boyfriend) Maxx Morando, guitarist Jonathan Rado and pianist Michael Pollack. At one point, she said Something Beautiful is “so reflective of my life and everything I’m experiencing.”

Following the performance, the outlet reported that Miley spoke about feeling as though she and her fans “really did grow up together,” adding, “As we grow, there’s things we gain and things we leave behind – and I’ve never wanted that to be you.”

Billboard noted that she also described Something Beautiful as “just the appetizer” for her “next album,” which will be “extremely experimental, so have fun with that.”
