Aniston was exposed to acting from a young age, being born to parents who were also in the entertainment industry — mom Nancy Dow and dad John Aniston.
After graduating from a performing arts high school in New York City, the actress starred in a few Off-Broadway productions and had roles in a series of television shows, before her big-screen debut occurred through 1993’s Leprechaun.
Not long after, Aniston was cast in Friends as Rachel Green, a part she played for the series’ entire run from 1994 to 2004. She starred in the beloved and fan-favorite role opposite Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer.

Looking back at her iconic career, Aniston tells PEOPLE there is one role of hers that she would be open to revisiting again.
“Oh my God, this literally came up the other day: Horrible Bosses,” she says, referring to the 2011 comedy film and its 2014 sequel, which follow employees as they deal with — and plan how to murder — their abusive bosses.

“Jason Bateman and I were talking about that, and Charlie Day has been talking about it a lot too,” Aniston continues. “So that’s something that we think would be super fun.”
She adds, “The characters are hilarious, and we need comedy. I personally think comedy is a necessity. That’s one that we would have a really fun time, I think, going back to, seeing where those crazy cats are today.”
The Morning Show‘s season four is scheduled to begin streaming on Apple TV+ on Sept. 17.
